RepairYour.Tech

Refunds, Returns & Buyer Protection

Version 1.0.0 — Last updated: June 8, 2026

This policy applies to marketplace purchases of devices, parts, tools, and accessories. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Seller Terms.

1. How the payment hold works

When you buy through the marketplace, your payment is processed and held by our payment provider until the order is confirmed complete. RepairYour.Tech does not hold your funds in its own bank account. Funds are released to the seller only after you confirm receipt, or after the inspection window closes without a dispute.

2. Inspection window

You have 7 days from delivery (or from in-person pickup) to inspect your item and confirm it matches the listing. During this window you may confirm receipt to release payment, or open a dispute if the item is not as described.

3. When you are entitled to a refund

  • The item never arrived, or tracking shows it was not delivered.
  • The item is materially different from the listing (wrong model, undisclosed damage, missing parts, or a condition grade that does not match).
  • The item is counterfeit, or fails a lost/stolen check.
  • The item is dead-on-arrival or non-functional when the listing represented it as working.

4. How to start a refund or return

Open a dispute from your order page within the inspection window. Most issues are resolved directly with the seller within their response window. If the seller agrees, your refund is returned to your original payment method. If you and the seller cannot agree, RepairYour.Tech will mediate based on the evidence both parties provide.

5. Return shipping

Where a return is required, the party responsible for return shipping depends on the reason: the seller covers return shipping for not-as-described, defective, or counterfeit items; the buyer covers return shipping for change-of-mind returns where the seller has opted to accept them. Items must be returned in the condition received.

6. Refund timing

Once a refund is approved, it is issued to your original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit. Refunds reverse the original charge; we do not refund to cash or to a transferable balance.

7. Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your card issuer (a chargeback) instead of using our dispute process, your card network's rules and timelines govern the outcome. We will provide transaction and fulfillment evidence to the card network. We encourage you to open a platform dispute first — it is usually faster.

8. What this protection is — and is not

Buyer protection is a platform policy describing when RepairYour.Tech will help recover your payment. It is not insurance, a warranty, or a guarantee of any specific outcome. Manufacturer or shop warranties, where offered, are separate and described in their own terms.
