Pricing transparency
Every fee we charge is published here. Platform fees on in-shop repair are zero, and marketplace fees already include payment processing — we never bill it as a surprise line on top.
Platform fees
| Surface | Platform fee | Payment processing |
|---|---|---|
| Repair services (POS, in-shop) | $0 | Shop's own processor, at cost |
| Marketplace — devices | 8% | Included in the fee |
| Marketplace — parts | 5% | Included in the fee |
| Marketplace — accessories | 3% | Included in the fee |
| B2B / supplier listings | Per B2B agreement | Included in the fee |
| Subscriptions (shop / pro plans) | Plan price | Included in the plan price |
Marketplace fees can be lower: sellers earn a fee reduction as their trust score rises, down to a 3% floor for US card payments (international cards cost more to process, so their floor is higher). See the full marketplace fees page for the complete schedule, buyer protections, and Hub Shop pickup.
How payment processing is handled
- Marketplace — the platform fee is inclusive: payment processing comes out of our fee, not a separate charge to the buyer. The buyer pays the listed price; the seller pays the marketplace fee, and processing is our cost inside it.
- In-shop repair (POS) — the shop is the merchant on its own connected account and pays its processor's published rate directly. We add no platform fee and no processing margin.
- Subscriptions (shop and pro plans) — we're the merchant, so processing is our cost and is built into the listed plan price. There is no separate processing charge.
- Stripe Connect application fees appear as their own line on every payout statement, so shops always see the exact breakdown of what was deducted.
