Field-Services Provider Agreement

Version 1.0.0 — Last updated: June 8, 2026

This agreement applies to technicians who accept field-service work orders, in addition to our Terms of Service. It distinguishes independent technicians from shop-seated technicians.

1. Two provider lanes

  • Independent technician — an independent contractor who accepts work orders directly, is paid directly, and is responsible for their own taxes.
  • Shop-seated technician — a technician working under a participating shop, where the shop is the payee and the shop's employment terms apply.

2. Independence (independent technicians)

Independent technicians control how and when they perform accepted work, supply their own tools, may decline or accept any work order, may work for others including competitors, and may use qualified substitutes where the work order permits. RepairYour.Tech operates a marketplace connecting buyers and providers; it does not set your schedule or direct the manner of your work.

3. Licensing & qualifications

You represent that you hold the licenses, certifications, and permits required for the work categories you accept, and you will not accept work you are not legally qualified to perform. Certain work categories may be gated on verified credentials.

4. Insurance

Where a work order requires it, you must carry and maintain the stated insurance (for example, general liability) and provide proof on request. RepairYour.Tech may require proof of insurance but does not sell, broker, or provide insurance.

5. Taxes & reporting

Independent technicians are responsible for their own self-employment and income taxes. You must keep your tax information current to receive payouts. Depending on amounts paid and applicable thresholds, you may receive a tax information return (for example, a Form 1099). Shop-seated technicians are handled through their shop.

6. Payment & payouts

Buyers prepay for accepted work. The payment is held by our payment provider and released to the provider's connected payout account after the work is approved or auto-approved per the work-order terms. Optional faster payout, where offered, has its fee and availability disclosed at the time you choose it. RepairYour.Tech does not hold provider funds in its own bank account.

7. Cancellation & disputes

Cancellation rights and any fees are stated on the work order. Buyer–provider disputes follow the platform dispute process; held funds remain held until the dispute resolves.

8. Safety & conduct

You are responsible for performing work safely and lawfully, and for your own conduct on-site. Ratings and accountability records reflect completed work and buyer feedback.
