Flex cables are space-efficient but can tear, crease, delaminate, or lose contact during repair.
Technical detail
A flexible printed circuit uses patterned copper conductors on a polymer substrate and often terminates in board connectors or bonded components.
Examples
- A display flex cable connects the screen assembly to the phone logic board.
