Why this grade

No official iFixit repairability score. reMarkable 1/2 are glue-heavy (aluminum backplate glued on all four sides plus center; battery held by glue per iFixit's RM1 guide) and the company does not publish battery specs or sell official spare parts. The newer reMarkable Paper Pro is genuinely redesigned for repair (mechanical locking system, company-claimed 74% more reusable components and easy battery replacement), but that improvement is self-reported and no consumer spare-parts store was found, so parts/manual availability remains weak. Minimal software parts-pairing (Linux-based). Conservative grade given no authoritative third-party teardown score and unverified parts channel.
