Score breakdown

Parts Availability 55
Schematic Access 52
Repairability 50
OEM Pricing 52
Software Freedom 62

Why this grade

Thin evidence for tablets specifically (conservative grade). Lenovo has no official iFixit tablet repairability score; the only iFixit figure is a community-reported ThinkPad X1 Tablet Gen3 = 7/10 (battery and screen without adhesive, modular boards), and Lenovo's celebrated 10/10 scores are laptops, not tablets. Lenovo does publish 'Tablet Product Self-Repair Guidance' and a parts portal for many Tab M/P-series models, and iFixit hosts community guides, but genuine consumer-facing parts and manuals for its Android tablets are inconsistent. Minimal parts-pairing. Graded conservatively due to the lack of an authoritative repairability teardown score.

Methodology & version

Five dimensions — parts availability, schematic access, repairability, OEM pricing, and software freedom — are scored 0–100 and weighted equally; the letter grade is the average (A 90–100, B 80–89, C 70–79, D 60–69, F below 60). This assessment is current as of 6/9/2026 and cites its sources below. It covers the Tablets category and is not a claim about every device the maker ships.
