Dyson sells genuine spare parts directly (batteries, filters, motors, brush bars) via its official spare-parts store, backed by a large aftermarket and a dedicated third-party repair site (dysonmedic). iFixit hosts extensive teardown/repair guides across many models (V-series, V7, V8, DC58, DC35). Cordless units are reasonably modular with washable filters and clip-in batteries, though some disassembly needs Torx and certain assemblies are clipped/glued. Main weakness is premium OEM parts pricing (Dyson discourages cheaper aftermarket parts, warning warranty voids). No DRM or battery serialization on vacuums. Equal-weighted avg ~78.
